How photo alerts work

Turn on attendee registration
The host enables registration on the event, with custom fields and an optional RSVP deadline.

Guests register and opt in
Guests fill in the form, add a selfie, and tick “notify me about new photos”. The alert needs an email address.

Photos are matched as they arrive
Each new face uploaded to the event is compared against opted-in guests, using a strict match threshold to keep false alerts out.

Guests get a digest email
New matches are grouped into one email instead of one per photo, with at most one automatic email every 30 minutes. Hosts can also send immediately.
Why alerts beat “the photos are up”
A group message saying the gallery is live gets a burst of visits and then nothing. Photo alerts bring each guest back when there is something new for them specifically.
That matters most for events where photos arrive over days, such as multi-day weddings, conferences and tours, or when a photographer delivers edited sets later.
Hosts also get the attendee list itself: RSVP status, check-in stats and a CSV export. Each attendee can be deleted on request for GDPR.

- How will guests know when their photos are uploaded?
- If a guest registers with a selfie and opts in to alerts, Pixeva emails them when new photos they appear in are added to the event.
- Will guests get an email for every photo?
- No. New matches are grouped into a digest, sent at most once every 30 minutes automatically. The host can also trigger a send.
- Do guests have to register to find their photos?
- No. Any guest can still take a selfie on the event page and search. Registration is only needed for alerts and RSVP.
- Can I export the attendee list?
- Yes. Hosts can export attendees as CSV and delete an attendee on request.
