How does the face recognition work?
When you upload photos, our AI automatically detects and indexes every face. When a guest uploads their selfie, we compare it against all indexed faces and return matching photos in seconds. The technology is powered by advanced machine learning with 99%+ accuracy.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. Each event is completely isolated with its own secure storage. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Guest selfies are automatically deleted after processing. We never share or sell your data, and you can delete your event data at any time.
Can guests download their photos?
Yes! Guests can download individual photos or their entire collection with one click. As an event organizer, you have full control over download permissions and can enable or disable this feature in your event settings.
What happens when my event expires?
Events on the Free plan are available for 30 days. Pro and Business plans have extended retention. Before expiration, you'll receive email reminders. You can always download your photos or upgrade your plan to extend access.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. There are no cancellation fees or long-term commitments.
What is the AI Magic feature?
AI Magic lets guests transform one of their photos into stylized artwork right from the photo viewer. They can choose looks like Ghibli, Anime, Watercolor, Oil Painting, or Cyberpunk, then download and share the result once it finishes processing.
What is the Sizzle Reel feature?
Sizzle Reel is our AI-powered video generator that creates personalized 15-second highlight videos from your event photos. After finding their photos with a selfie, guests can generate a cinematic video featuring their best shots with professional transitions, music, and effects. Choose from 4 style presets (Mixed, Energetic, Elegant, Cinematic) and 5 color moods (Original, Warm, Cool, Vintage, Dramatic). Perfect for sharing on social media.
How does the emotion filter work?
Our AI analyzes facial expressions in every photo during the indexing process. Guests can then filter their search results by emotion: Happy, Smiling, Calm, or Surprised. The "Best" filter combines smile detection with quality scoring (lighting and sharpness) to surface the most flattering photos. This helps guests quickly find their favorite shots without scrolling through hundreds of photos.
What are Smart Albums?
Smart Albums automatically group photos by person using AI face recognition. Each detected person gets their own album with a representative face crop, photo count, and "best shots" badge. As an organizer you can name people, add tags like VIP or Family, merge duplicate groups, and split mismatches — all from the dashboard. Guests see the People section inside Smart Albums and can jump straight into any named album. Smart Albums are included in all plans.
What is Collaborative Mode?
Collaborative Mode lets event owners invite other people — photographers, friends, or attendees — to upload photos directly to the event. The owner shares a link, contributors request to join, and once approved, they can upload photos that appear in the main gallery. The event's photo limit is shared across all contributors. Collaborative Mode is included in every plan, including Free.
Can I collect attendee information?
Yes. When attendee registration is enabled, guests can register with their name and email when they join your event. You can view all attendees, see registration stats, and export the attendee list as a CSV file from your dashboard.
How does Google Drive Sync work?
Link any public Google Drive folder to your event — just paste the folder link. Pixeva imports all photos directly into your event gallery. When new photos are added to the folder later, use delta sync to import only the new ones. Duplicates are automatically skipped, and you get a full summary of every import run. Google Drive Sync is included in all plans.
Can I upload videos to my event?
Yes! Pixeva supports MP4, MOV, and WebM video uploads alongside your photos. Videos appear in the same gallery with play icons and duration badges. Click to watch with full playback controls. Video limits depend on your plan — Free allows 5 videos (up to 100 MB each), Pro allows 50, Event Pass allows 100, and Business allows 200 videos per event (up to 500 MB each).
What is the Auto Cull Assistant?
Auto Cull uses AI to score every photo in your event on quality factors like lighting, sharpness, face visibility, and composition. Each photo gets a score from 0 to 100 and is sorted into three buckets: Reject (low quality), Review (borderline), and Keep (good quality). You can review the recommendations, adjust selections, and delete all rejected photos in one click. It helps organizers quickly clean up large galleries and free up storage. Auto Cull is available in all plans.
How does the referral program work?
Share your unique referral link with friends. When they sign up and either create their first event or subscribe to a paid plan, you both get rewarded. You earn $10 credit, and they get $10 credit plus 20% off their second month of subscription. Find your referral link in Dashboard → Referrals.
What rewards do I get from referrals?
For you (the referrer): $10 credit for each qualified referral. Credits can be used toward any subscription plan or Event Pass purchase.
For your friend (the referred): $10 credit to use on their first purchase, plus 20% off their second month if they subscribe to a paid plan. There's no limit to how many people you can refer.
How do I use my referral credits?
Your referral credits are automatically applied at checkout. When you purchase a subscription or Event Pass, you'll see the discount on the Stripe checkout page. For example, if you have $10 credit and buy a $29 Pro plan, you'll only pay $19. Credits are applied to your first payment and any remaining balance stays in your account for future purchases.
When does a referral become qualified?
A referral qualifies when your friend takes a meaningful action: either creating their first event or subscribing to a paid plan (Pro, Business, or Event Pass). Simply signing up doesn't count — they need to actively use Pixeva. Once qualified, both of you receive your $10 credits instantly.
