The guide

How to convert HEIC to JPG

iPhones save photos as HEIC. It is a good format, but many websites, printers, Windows programs and email services only accept JPG. This free converter turns HEIC (and HEIF) pictures into JPG in a few seconds, with no account and no upload.

It runs in your browser, so your photos stay on your phone or computer. Drop in one picture or a whole folder and download the JPGs one by one or as a ZIP.

Convert HEIC to JPG in three steps

Drop your HEIC photos into the box above, or tap it to choose them from your phone or computer. You can add many at once.

Conversion starts straight away. You see the old and new file size for each picture.

Download each JPG, or use the ZIP button to take everything in one go.

Why does my iPhone take HEIC photos?

HEIC keeps photos at a smaller file size than JPG, which saves space on the phone. The catch is compatibility: some apps and sites cannot open it.

If you only need JPG now and then, convert as you need it. If you would rather your iPhone saved JPG from the start, open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible.

Private by design

Your photos are converted inside your browser and are not sent to our servers. By default the converter also removes hidden camera and GPS details, which is useful before you post a photo online. You can choose to keep them under More options.
